No one was harmed in the making of these images. <read momma survived 5500 miles and 11 days with two crazy boys in the back seat!> These images can’t do the real thing justice, but this post is a must see. After a failed attempt to book flights (read I booked them for the wrong week) we ended up driving for three days (each way!) to Yellowstone. We glamped at the amazing Under Canvas (highly recommend!) which offered my kiddos badminton, volleyball, campfires and s’mores, hammocks by the river, and they had their own tents (with beds!). We did Yellowstone for 4 days and hit the Grand Tetons for 1; stopping by Mt. Rushmore on the way home.

This was our first roadtrip (going to Grandma’s doesn’t count!) and my kiddos were spectacular. I picked up some kid friendly games at Amazon and some fabulous kid Atlas’ to keep them entertained for hours upon hours in the car. Oh, and for the record, don’t EVER stay at the Motel 6 in Fargo, ND. You’re welcome.

We hit all the major must-sees. Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, Grand Prismatic Spring, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Yellowstone Lake, buffalo, buffalo, and more buffalo. Plus a momma bear and two cubs but I left her alone 😉 All in all it was an amazing experience; I super highly 100% recommend visiting Yellowstone, and the Grand Tetons. We are already planning our next glamping experience with Under Canvas (no I don’t get paid to say that – we really did just love them that much!), but next time, we’re flying 😉
